1971 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Baseball

Led by World Series Most Valuable Player Roberto Clemente and National League home run champion Willie Stargell, the Pittsburgh Pirates outlasted the Baltimore Orioles in a tense seven games for the title. This exceptional baseball features 24 signatures from those gritty champions, including Clemente, Stargell, Danny Murtaugh (SS), Manny Sanguillen and Steve Blass. The signatures are all 8/9 or better out of 10. The official National League (Feeney) ball is white and rates 9 out of 10. 1971 was the first full season of the Pirates' new home - Three Rivers Stadium - and they capped that campaign with champagne, winning all five of their postseason games on their familiar Astroturf.
