1972 Richard Nixon "President's All Time Baseball Team" Letter to Harmon Killebrew (Secretarial)

1972 Richard Nixon "President's All Time Baseball Team" Letter to Harmon Killebrew (Secretarial)

September 29, 1972 letter from President Richard Milhous Nixon to future HOFer Harmon Clayton Killebrew, Jr. This letter is a product of the President, a major sports fan, being asked to name his all-time baseball team. And yes, he chose The Killer. It is rather informal for the President, but we believe he was in a good place in his love of the game of baseball. He speaks of collaborating with his daughter's husband David Eisenhower during a "quiet afternoon at Camp David". Furthermore, "Because you are a member of our all-time teams, I thought you might like to have a specially printed copy of the complete roster". Included herein is that very same and rarely seen roster with the Presidential seal embossed on front. Signature however is secretarial.
