1973 Bobby Clarke NHL All-Star Game Worn Jersey
Bobby Clarke’s vibrant orange NHL All-Star jersey from the 1973 NHL All-Star Game played on January 30, 1973 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Skating on a line with Jim Pappin and Dennis Hull of Chicago, Clarke appeared in his 4th NHL All-Star Game. Clarke assisted on Greg Polis’ goal just 55 seconds into the second period to open the scoring for both teams. Polis’ two goals earned him MVP honors. This Wilson manufactured durene jersey features the bold NHL crest sewn on the front between two stars enclosing NHL shields on the right and left chest areas. Additional NHL crests adorn the shoulders. Clarke’s name is sewn directly on the back above his customary number “16.” The Gerry Cosby tag in the collar is sewn over the Wilson manufacturer’s tag. Size “48” is written in pen on the Wilson tag. Light use overall with minor pilling inside. The jersey was once hung in a frame and has minor pin holes throughout the sleeves and shoulder areas; however, does not detract from this classic All-Star jersey. LOA.
