1973 Kansas City Royals Team Signed Baseball w/George Brett

1973 Kansas City Royals Team Signed Baseball w/George Brett

Offered is a rare 1973 signed team ball of the Kansas City Royals featuring a George Brett signature. It is very unusual to find a '73 Royals' team signed baseball with Hall of Famer Brett's signature because this was only George's first year in the Major Leagues. He only played in 13 games that season, so the third baseman was not even officially a rookie. Brett would go on to win three American League batting titles, take three Silver Slugger Awards, become a 13-time All-Star and help the Royals to win the 1985 World Championship. Brett hit .305 lifetime, and in 1980, he came close to becoming the first Major League player since Ted Williams to hit .400 when Brett hit .390. The Official American League Ball (Cronin) has 26 signatures. The ball is EX-MT, with only slight toning. Some of the other signatures include Fran Healy, Hal McRae, Ed Kirkpatrick, Frank White, Steve Hovley, and famous batting coach Charlie Lau. The signatures look to be 8/10 overall. The signature of George Brett, then only a 20-year-old, makes this Kansas City team ball special.
