1973 Kentucky Derby Secretariat Triple Crown Full Ticket PSA EX 5 - Only One Higher

1973 Kentucky Derby Secretariat Triple Crown Full Ticket PSA EX 5 - Only One Higher

Tremendous and rare full ticket from the 1973 Kentucky Derby is an important piece of history at it is from the first leg of Secretariat's historic Triple Crown run. Measuring 7.5x2.75", the ticket remains bold and clear with the year spelled out in roses (as in, "Run for the Roses"), with sharp corners and no obvious damage except for a possible small stain at one edge that is visible on the back. Encapsulated and graded by PSA as FULL EX 5; only 9 full tickets to this race have been submitted for grading at this writing, with this standing as one of POP 5 at this grade, and only one higher. Entering as the favorite, Secretariat exceeded even those expectations, setting a new track record as jockey Ron Turcotte rode Big Red to historic victories in both the Preakness and Belmont, securing his place in thoroughbred lore.
