1974 Muhammad Ali "Rumble In The Jungle" World Championship Ring
This stunning gold-and-diamond studded ring was presented only to very close members of the Muhammad Ali camp in 1974 after his victory in Zaire to win the title from George Foreman in one of the greatest upsets in boxing history. Gorgeous design with “1964” on one side with a boxing glove engraved “Ali Liston TKO 6” for his victory in the 6th round to first win the title in Miami, the other side is marked 10 years later, "1974." Below is a shield (engraving worn) originally engraved "Ali KO Foreman 8" from his colossal victory in the 8th round in Zaire. At the top is a huge .85 karat diamond mounted in black onyx with Islamic symbol above. Engraved with the name of the presentee, "Lowell Riley," who was the personal photographer of Muhammad Ali’s manager, Herbert Muhammad, it's marked on the inside band "Jostens 14k." A major symbol of Muhammad Ali’s singular greatness we have not seen before, as the rings with Muhammad Ali's name on them are mere samples. This is the real deal.
