1975-76 Cleveland Crusaders Ron Ward Game Worn Jersey
From Cleveland’s first attempt at major league hockey comes this jersey worn by WHA Cleveland Crusader, Ron Ward. The Cleveland Crusaders played in the World Hockey Association from 1972-76 as one of the best run teams in the league. After their move to Richfield Coliseum in south Cleveland, crowds in the arena dwindled, and they were eventually moved to Saint Paul Minnesota, becoming the second incarnation of the Minnesota Fighting Saints. A great tribute to this once revered WHA team is this white dureen jersey with purple striping. Front is embroidered knight on horse logo. Verso is “Ward 24” in purple tackle twill lettering. Each sleeve bears his number “24” in white tackle twill. Jersey exhibits extensive use with multiple scuffs and marks.
