1975 World Series Game 6 Carlton Fisk Historic Home Run Ticket Stub PSA GD 2

1975 World Series Game 6 Carlton Fisk Historic Home Run Ticket Stub PSA GD 2

1975 World Series Ticket stub is from the game famous for one of the great all time images in baseball history. Dated for Game 6 at Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox hosted the Cincinnati Reds, the visitors needed just one win to claim the series but the game headed into extra innings. Carlton Fisk's 12th inning drive down the left field line looked to be going foul, but historic images showed Fisk waving his arms, "willing" the ball to stay fair. Indeed the drive caromed off the foul pole, giving Boston a 7-6 victory, sending the series to a deciding 7th Game. Stub is mostly neatly torn and has some slight rounding at the corners; perhaps it is slightly faded as well but front and back present better than the PSA encapsulated GOOD 2 grade that this specimen received. Great piece of baseball folklore. (A stub from that deciding Game 7 is also available in this auction).
