1976 John Vukovich Philadelphia Phillies Bicentennial Game Worn Jersey and "Pillbox" Cap
ADDENDUM: The two sleeve patches on this jersey have been replaced. They are original patches but most likely added later by a collector. No city was better suited to celebrate the bicentennial year of 1976 than Philadelphia, and this classic powder-blue road jersey was worn that season by seldom-used infielder John Vukovich. Accompanying the jersey is a pillbox cap that several National League teams adopted as part of the circuit‚s centennial. The jersey, which is signed on the front, features the "P" on the left chest and number 22 stitched on the right, with name and number on the back. There are Wilson Size 42 and "42 76 1" tags on the front tail, as well as a "Vukovich" tag chain-stitched in the neck. Centennial and Bicentennial patches are attached, one on each sleeve. The cap has number "22" handwritten under the brim.
