1976 J.T. Thomas Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey
As part of a defense widely regarded to be one of the best ever, defensive back J.T. Thomas donned this jersey during the 1976 season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though the 4-Time Super Bowl Champion failed to win a Super Bowl that year, the team is still considered to be the best in franchise history by many fans and former players. Starting the year 1-4, Pittsburgh rebounded in a big way, finishing the season with a 10-4 record and giving up an otherworldly 28 points over their last nine games. The white, road jersey has a "76" year tag and a Sand-Knit size 44 tag on the tail. It shows great use with stains, loose threads, and four team repairs. Eight Steelers defensive players made the Pro Bowl in '76, including Thomas himself. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
