1976 Reed Larson's University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Game Worn Jersey
Reed Larson is one of the State of Minnesota's greatest hockey heroes, a true icon. A member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth, Minn., he played two seasons under legendary coach Herb Brooks and took the Gophers to the NCAA title in 1976 wearing this jersey. This vintage dureen sweater bears fantastic game use and a ton of hockey folklore. A backliner with one of the hardest slapshots ever, he put up 70 points in those seasons. He never played his junior year as he was drafted in the second round by the Detroit Red Wings. His 14-year year NHL career saw him notch 685 points (222 goals) and three All-Star invites. Reed is known as one of the game's smartest defenseman and all-around great guy. Golden Gopher fans take note of this gem!!!
