1978 Bob Forsch No-Hitter Presentational Watch

1978 Bob Forsch No-Hitter Presentational Watch

A lot of time has ticked by since this watch was presented to Bob Forsch to commemorate his May 16, 1978 no-hitter against the Phillies -- the 1st no-no by a Card pitcher since Jesse Haines in 1924. Forsch, who pitched more games for the team than anyone except HOFers Haines and Bob Gibson (and with his brother Ken are the only brothers to throw no-hitters), gave the watch to his teammates after the no no. He gave this one to Jerry Morales. Inner face has the Cardinals name and logo. Back is engraved "Bob Forsch, No-Hitter, 4-16-78." Clearly worn regularly, the stainless steel watch has lost some of its gold luster and has a rainbow-like mix of colors on the bezel. Overall VG-EX and still in perfect working condition.
