1978 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring
The jubilation of a third straight Stanley Cup Championship is represented in this jeweled work of art. A large solitaire encircled by twenty-four smaller diamonds floating in a sea of white gold is surrounded by the words "NHL Champions 1977" on the face of this stunning ring. The enameled logo of the Montreal Canadiens is prominently featured on the left shank with "Lafleur" and "Champions Est-East 59-10-11" above and below. The opposing shank proudly lists the team's twenty Championship seasons grouped around the image of the Cup with the words "Coupe Stanley Cup" and "Club de Hockey Canadien." The interior of the band is stamped with the 10K karat markings and the manufacturer's mark. Jostens produced this ring in the late 1990's on the request of Mr. Lafleur as a replacement for the original, no longer in his possession. In pristine condition. Letter of Authenticity signed by Guy Lafleur. Ring size is 12.5.
