1978 Muhammad Ali vs. Leon Spinks I & II Full Tickets (Both PSA)
<p><span style="font-size: 13px;">Pair of full tickets to each of Muhammad Ali's title bouts against Leon Spinks in 1978, each graded by PSA. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">These tickets were culled from the #1 Ranked Muhammad Ali Ticket Collection on the PSA Registry, which is being offered as a "set break" in our Spring Classic 2022 auction. Listed on the PSA Registry as "Muhammad Ali On-Site Ticket Collection," the collection is 74.60% complete with a Weighted GPA of 11.56. <strong>1) Ali/Spinks I. </strong>Full ticket (5.5x2") to the title bout held at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 15, 1978. Graded Good 2 (MK) by PSA. The number "1444" is written on the reverse in black marker, which is the reason for the "MK" designation. This is one of only four full examples of this particular ticket listed in the PSA Population report, with just two graded higher. Spinks stunned the boxing world by defeating Ali in a split decision to win the Heavyweight Championship. <strong>2) Ali/Spinks II. </strong>Full ticket (5.25x2") issued for the title bout held at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 15, 1978. Graded NM 7 by PSA. This is one of just five examples of this particular ticket graded at this level, with only one graded higher. Ali reclaimed his title by unanimous decision, thereby becoming the first boxer to win the World Heavyweight Championship three times.</span></p>
