1978 New York Cosmos Championship Ring
Even though Pele had retired prior to the season, the New York Cosmos were still the best of the North American Soccer League in 1978, repeating as league champions. The individual prize for those associated with the club was this rare, 10K gold ring manufactured by Balfour. The ring is size 10.5 and belonged to staff member Dom Flora. The face reads: "COSMOS NASL CHAMPIONS," one shank reads: "SOCCER BOWL 78" and the date "AUGUST 27, 1978" and the other shank boasts Flora's name, team logo and "STAFF." There is a slight bend to the bottom but otherwise EX.
