1978 New York Cosmos N.A.S.L. Championship Ring
Although the sport of soccer was immensely popular internationally, it never gained a foothold into the American psyche. That was until Pele jumped the pond in his final playing years and lent his skills to the New York Cosmos. This size 9.5 ring celebrates the second of the Cosmos' three North American Soccer League championships in a four-year span, and was given to team announcer Chip Cipolla. The 10k yellow gold ring has a 20 pt diamond set in the center of the soccer ball design top. Cipolla's name and the word "Media" surround the Cosmos logo on the right shank, and the left contains the words "Soccer Bowl 78" above the date, August 27. Comes with LOA.
