Louisville Slugger model S44 was used by Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver during the 1978 season with the Reds. Seaver's name is stamped into the barrel and his immortal number 41 is written on the knob in black marker. Seaver was a fair hitting pitcher and the bat shows numerous ball marks and great game use. There is a slight crack down near the handle where the tape has been removed. Originally purchased from the Reds Clubhouse Shop, this beauty has "9/30/78" written on tape across the top.
