1978 Wayne Gretzky Game Used WHA Indianapolis Racers Northland Rookie Stick
A wooden witness to the first few days of the Great One’s career. Wayne Gretzky Racers of Indianapolis. Northland Registered Pattern “6995” with soiled white over black knob taping and a bare blade. Wayne’s “99” is marked high up on the shaft in red marker and both sides are stamped “Gretzky”. The Racers’ team supplier “Rainbo” is also identified with a stamp. The bottom of the blade has been shaved down, a feature common on all of Wayne’s early Northland gamers. Great game use with some blade damage and two small holes where the stick was once mounted. Without a doubt, the most significant Wayne Gretzky game used stick we have ever offered.
