1979 Caesar's Palace Sport of Kings "Affirmed" Trophy
From the Laz Barrera family estate. This Hall of Fame trainer was presented this at the annual fete in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace. For the greats of horse racing, the 1989 award presented to Bill Shoemaker now resides in the Kentucky Derby Museum. Barrera's Caesars Palace Trophy undoubtedly recognized Affirmed's 4-year-old Horse of the Year campaign.
