Known as "Mad Dog" for his ferocious aggression, White was a defensive end on the four-time Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Champions (IX, X, XIII, and XIV). Art Rooney, the Steelers' owner, called him, "One of the best Pittsburgh Steelers ever." Before Super Bowl IX, White was hospitalized with pneumonia, lost 20 pounds and was not expected to play. He did play and sacked Minnesota Viking quarterback Fran Tarkenton for a safety for the Steelers first points. Color white jersey, with black numerals and gold name. Back reads, "White 78".
