1979 Ed Kranepool Game Worn Jersey
From the team's birth in 1962, through the miracle season of 1969 and ten years beyond, Kranepool was a Mets fixture. He and the team spent their first eighteen years together, and it all ended with this jersey, worn by the beloved Big Apple star in the summer of '79. Fine wear on this grey roadster with "Mets 7" streaming beneath the button-down collar and "Kranepool 7" on the back. Logo patch on left sleeve. Extensive tail tagging: "44 79 7" year tag, with "Rawlings [size] 44" manufacturer's tag and "Set 1 1979" and "1 Inch Extra Length" flag tags. Finally, the lifetime Met has signed in blue sharpie on the front, "Ed Kranepool #7, My Last Year."
