1979 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring
By the end of the 1979 Stanley Cup Championship season, Guy's hand was becoming heavy with karat weight. The Stanley Cup, sculpted in white gold is set between four diamonds and the years "76, 77, 78, 79" on the face of this jeweled masterpiece. Twenty-two additional sparkling white diamonds are set into the sloping table walls. The left wing displays the words "Lafleur" and "Club de Hockey Canadien" above and below the polished gold Habs logo. The right wing reads "1979 NHL Champions, Coupe Stanley Cup" with the season record of "52-17-11." The interior of the band is stamped with the 10K karat markings and the manufacturer's mark and coding. Jostens produced this ring in the late 1990's on the request of Mr. Lafleur as a replacement for the original, no longer in his possession. Pristine. LOA signed by Lafleur. Ring size is 11.5.
