1979 O-Pee-Chee #18 Wayne Gretzky Rookie Card PSA MINT 9 (Only Two Higher!)
1979 OPC #18 Wayne Gretzky (R) card has been encapsulated and graded by PSA Mint 9. According to the PSA population report, only 91 examples have been graded Mint 9 or higher with two examples garnering Gem Mint 10 status. Infinitely more difficult to find in any grade than its Topps counterpart, high grade examples are exceedingly rarer to come to market as can be seen in the recent million dollar plus hammer price of an OPC PSA 10 example. This iconic card of "The Great One" is perhaps the most important card in the hockey hobby as Gretzky reshaped the league with his pinpoint passing, scoring, and on ice vision. A must have for both hockey and Gretzky collectors.
