1980-82 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat (35")
Johnny's catching days were about over, but his bat was still a potent weapon in the early '80s, continuing to rack up what would be a career total of 389 homers -- 327 as a catcher, a record when he racked his bats for the last time after the '83 season. This personal model Louisville Slugger S216 was in his hands during a period traced to 1980-82. Barrel is mostly clean and unmarked save for a few nicks, handle is streaked with pine tar residue. Barrelhead narrowed out. Bat seems to glow with Bench's neon aura.
