1980 Olympic Hockey Team "Miracle on Ice" Signed Photo
One of the most memorable moments in American sports history took place in the tiny Upstate New York village of Lake Placid on February 22, 1980. That's when the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team upset the heavily-favored Soviet Union, 4-3 by scoring the only two goals of the decisive third period. This framed photo, signed by all 20 of team members, says it all as announcer Al Michaels captured the moment succinctly by proclaiming: "Do You Believe in Miracles?" The signatures here rate 10/10 and in the lower-right corner, it is marked as #4 out of 980. The photo is matted to 15.5" x 19.5" with the frame size being 22" x 26". Comes with a photo of the players from the signing. What is often forgotten about this game is that it was only a semifinal showdown. Team U.S.A. would still have to defeat Finland in the Gold Medal game, which they did, handily.
