1980 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship Celebratory Champagne Bottle Signed by Pete Rose

1980 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship Celebratory Champagne Bottle Signed by Pete Rose

Sparkling memento from the 1980 World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies in this genuine champagne bottle from that year's celebration, signed by Pete Rose. Bottle of Great Western Champagne is, alas, empty, and was sourced though a member of the media who was able to obtain it during the celebration. Rose has signed the label in 10/10 blue marker with the inscription 1980 - historically significant in that the Phillies (founded in 1883) are the oldest team to have the same city and nickname in all of professional sports. Yet, nearly a century after taking the field for the first time, the Phils had yet to win a World Series until Rose, Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt and Greg Luzinski were among the leaders who finally brought the championship to the City of Brotherly Love.
