1980 US Olympics Participants Medal
Each participant of the 1980 Winter Olympic games in Lake Placid, NY received one of these intricately designed and cast medals, The medal measures 3" in diameter and the delicate and beautiful design captures a variety of the sports played at the winter games and includes images of figure skaters, speed skaters, downhill skiers, alpine jumpers, downhill racers and luge to name some. The back is inscribed with the Olympic oath of athletes. The medal comes in its original box and is an exquisite example of Olympic memorabilia.
