1981 Michael Jordan UNC Tar Heels NCAA Debut Ticket Stub PSA FR 1.5
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Significant ticket stub from the 1981 collegiate debut of Michael Jordan. Dated November 28, Jordan's University of North Carolina Tar Heels faced the Kansas Jayhawks at the Charlotte Coliseum, where a crowd of 11,666 fans saw the hosts capture a 74-67 victory. Hobby fresh and recently encapsulated and graded PSA FR 1.5, stub presents nicely. Only four of these exist in the PSA POP report - with the others grading PSA 1, PSA 2, PSA 3 - which does make sense as the thousands of fans in attendance had no way of knowing they were watching the eventual GOAT, thus did not keep these valued mementos. Under Coach Dean Smith's guidance, the Tar Heels nearly ran the table with a 32-2 record en route to capturing the NCAA Championship. MJ's NBA Debut tickets are available from time to time, but the fact that this is only the second known stub from his NCAA Debut says a lot about its rarity.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;">Note: The pop report has changed since the original description was written, so there are a total of (4) of these examples graded by PSA. </span></p>
