1981 will go down as one of the most memorable seasons in MLB history. The players went on strike on June 12th and didn't return to the field until Aug. 9th forcing MLB to go with as split season championship format that match the winners in each division for each half to face each other in the Playoffs. This jersey was worn by 21 year Major Leaguer Rick Honeycutt who went 11-6 in the strike shortened campaign. A four time All-Star(1980-83), Honeycutt finished his career in 1997 with 109 Wins. This Rawlings size 42 home white jersey has "Rangers" emroidered across the chest in red on blue. There is a red tail tag on the right inside of the front of the jersey and reads " Rawlings 42" with cleaning instructions, next to that is a white tail tag with " Set 1 1981". The collar and arms are trimmed in red, white and blue stripes. The right sleeve contains a patch that has "TR" in red with a white star in the "R' over a white baseball with red stitching which is over a blue picture of the state of Texas trimmed in white. Whole logo is on white cicular patch trimmed in blue.Back name tag is "Honetcutt" in red on blue and "40" is embroidered in matching colors.
