1982-83 Emmy Award for Sesame Street
Resplendent statue presented to the landmark children's television series, Sesame Street. This goddess of television stands with breast thrust forward and wings pinned back in a salacious pose for all to see (overall 16" tall). She holds in her hands the satellite of the world, the engaging design of the highest award in broadcasting. She stands on a gold base of heavy thick metal with longitudinal and latitudinal lines. On it is emblazoned, "Academy of Television Arts and Sciences". This award was presented to Dick Maitland for Sound Effects. Comes with his Emmy nomination certificate, which seals the deal. The plaque was never put on, which is a common occurrence. Came out of the sound studio that Maitland worked in. The award is magnificent and there is some very minor wear to the finish but is overall excellent condition. And the winner is...?
