1983-84 Pat LaFontaine New York Islanders Game Worn Rookie Jersey
Blue mesh jersey with the Syosset Sport Center tag inside the back neck with size 50 fly tag, washing instructions and "3" year tag. LaFontaine broke into the NHL in 1983-84 and played 15 games with the Isles during the regular season, and another 16 games during the playoffs. After a stellar career, he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003. On the front of the jersey is the NY Islanders logo patch in orange, blue and white tackle twill. On the back and on each sleeve is the player number "16" in white on orange tackle twill. Across the back is "LaFONTAINE" in white on orange tackle twill on a blue name plate. The custom canvas loop fightstrap inside the jersey has been signed by LaFontaine in black marker rating a 7/10. The jersey shows light wear with a few solid stick marks, some board burns and areas of piling inside the arms. There is a two inch team repair below the v-neck and another smaller repair on the shoulder.
