1983 Roger Clemens Signed Minor League Contract
In 1983 when "The Rocket" was still learning to fly, Roger Clemens played for the New Britain Red Sox and helped lead them to the Eastern League Championship. Clemens was recalled from the Florida State League in mid-season and signed this original contract with New Britain on August 6, 1983. Clemens signed the bottom in black ink and his signature rates a "9" out of a possible 10. Clemens was paid $600 per month to pitch for New Britain. Gold colored contract is six pages long and NRMT.
