1984 Michael Jordan USA Olympic Basketball Gold Medal Final Full Ticket PSA NM 7 (Pop 1 - Three Higher)

Displayed is a 1984 Michael Jordan Men's Olympic Basketball full ticket to the Gold Medal Game on August 10th at The Forum in Inglewood, California, in which the United States defeated Spain 96-65. The game was Jordan's first Olympic Medal, and the final time that the U.S. Basketball team did not include professionals. Coached by Bobby Knight, the U.S. team had: Steve Alford, a guard from Indiana University; Leon Wood, a guard from Cal State Fullerton; Patrick Ewing, a center from Georgetown; Vern Fleming, a guard from Georgia; Alvin Robertson, a guard from Arkansas; Jordan, a guard from North Carolina; Joe Kleine, a forward from Arkansas; Jon Koncak, a center from Southern Methodist; Wayman Tisdale, a forward from Oklahoma; Chris Mullin, a guard from St. John's; Sam Perkins, a forward from North Carolina; Jeff Turner, a forward from Vanderbilt. The United States team dominated the tournament, winning all eight of its games. The U.S. averaged 95.4 PPG in the Olympics, while their opponents averaged only 63.3 PPG. In the Gold Medal Game, except for the opening minutes, the contest was never close. The United States has a 23-point lead at half-time, causing 15 Spain turnovers and the U.S. had eight first half steals. Jordan led the U.S. in scoring in the game, with 20 points, while Tisdale had 14 points, Perkins had 12, and Alford added 10. In Jordan, Ewing, and Mullin, the team featured three future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers. Andres Jimenez led Spain with 16 points. The offered ticket measures 2.8x7.75". In part, it reads, "Games of the XXIII Olympiad/Los Angeles 1984/Fri. Aug 10 7:00 PM." The ticket does not list a ticket price, and reads, "Stand F/Appropriate Accreditation Required." It may have been a press ticket, or a ticket set aside for an Olympic Official. The ticket has been encapsulated and PSA graded "NM 7." The ticket is PSA POP 1 - ONLY 3 HIGHER.
