1985-86 Paul Coffey Record Setting 48th Goal Game Used Stick
Two of the greatest all-time offensive defensemen in NHL history have a role in this amazing stick, game used by Edmonton Oilers legend Paul Coffey to score his 48th goal in the 1985-86 season, having surpassed the previous single-season mark set by Boston Bruins icon Bobby Orr in 1974-75. This Sher-Wood Feather-Lite stick was used for Coffey's final goal of the season, with that total standing as the record to this day. COFFEY is stamped on the shaft and great use is shown, with has original tape on the blade and it is signed by Coffey and has 48th Goal written on the base of the of shaft. Original tape is on the blade, which has a plate engraved with, "Goals by Defensemen - 1985/86 Paul Coffey - 48; 1974/75 Bobby Orr - 46; NHL Record." Dating to the heart of the Oilers' dynasty which saw the team win the Stanley Cup five times in a 7-year span, thanks to Coffey and his high-flying teammates such as Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.
