1985 Lou Brock Hall of Fame Induction Plaque
Its one Hall of an honor! This framed plaque was given to Lou on his 1985 induction day in Cooperstown, which was the Hall's custom until the late 1990s. This framed and matted photo of the actual plaque details Brock's career highlights, including the now-dated fact that he was baseball's all-time stolen base leader (since broken by Rickey Henderson). There is a photo that accompanies the lot, showing Lou holding this actual plaque at the Hall of Fame. During the later 1990s, the Hall began to issue miniature bronze plaques and also gave them to living members who had already been inducted thus, Lou had this one and the bronze version that was awarded to him later (sold in our last auction). Measuring roughly 11x13" framed, the plaque is signed in silver by Lou on the back. The frame has some minor scuffs and scratches but is otherwise in EX condition.
