1986-87 Dave Semenko Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Nike Jersey
Dave Semenko's last Edmonton Oilers uniform, worn prior to his trade to Hartford early into the 1985-86 season. Wayne Gretzky put it best when he said that Dave Semenko "allowed me to have more room on the ice". This heavy white mesh jersey is tagged in the neck by Nike in size XL with an additional "X" added in ballpoint. A skate lace dangles from the heavy fight strap, but Dave did most of his best work stripped to the waist. This uniform was one from the Wexler collection and originally came missing the nameplate. An original Semenko Nike mesh nameplate was obtained from the team's equipment room and re-attached recently. Light wear with a few stick marks and slashes. Comes with an extensive package of documentation from the Meigray Group including an LOA on Oilers Letterhead.
