1986 Wayne Gretzky Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Helmet
The Great One wore this lid during the glory days in Oil Town. Well-worn white Jofa model 51234 made famous by Wayne features his storied “99” in blue decals on the back with the Oilers logos high up on each side. Wayne has signed the helmet “best wishes” and added the date of “1986”. The signature is certainly the correct style for the time period and has worn in areas. Photo evidence also dates this helmet to the 1986 period as his later Oilers helmets did not have Jofa decals on the sides. A rare and astonishing find!
