1987-88 Dave Semenko Toronto Maple Leafs NHL Game Worn Jersey
This preseason game worn jersey belonged to noted NHL pugilist Dave Semenko. The blue road Toronto Maple Leafs jersey is #25, which he only wore in preseason and then switched to #27, so this dates to the 1987-88 preseason. It shows heavy wear with 12 team repairs on neck, sleeves and numbers, and the neck repair leads us to believe it was ripped during a fight. Also notable are pilling and paint transfers, collar tag has been removed, and the original fight strap has been cut with the addition of a custom cut nylon plate sewn over the existing base with a cotton fight strap. The original numbers were removed and replaced during the team recycling process, however the current numbers show vintage wear including a team repair on back number "5." Maska logo is embroidered in white on the back right hem. Comes with LOA.
