1987 Emmy Award for The World Series
Sports Emmy award was presented to Jack Cronin of ABC for the "Technical Team Remote" category in 1987. Resplendant statue features the goddess of television, standing with breast thrust forward and wings pinned back in a salacious pose for all to see (overall 16” tall). She holds in her hands the satellite of the world, the engaging design of the highest award in broadcasting. She stands on a gold base of heavy thick metal with longitudinal and latitudinal lines. On it is emblazoned, “Academy of Television Arts and Sciences”. Engraved onto black band below is "1987 Sports Emmy Award Technical Team Remote 1987 World Series ABC Jack Cronin - Camera."
