1987 Mark McGwire Signed Rookie-of-the-Year Athletic Supporter
A fun collectible, this item held the most prized jewels of one of the greatest sluggers of the modern baseball era. Big Mac wore this for his Rookie-of-the-Year 1987 season. After the season, McGwire signed the jock in blue sharpie. Other notations are also completely in McGwire's hand: "87 Rookie of the Year Jock". Below the "bub [size] Medium" label, the supporter has been marked, "McGwire" in black marker (faded). Originally obtained from Walt Harris, trainer for the Oakland Athletics. LOA.
