1988 Mark McGwire Game Used Bat (34")
No one quite knew how far "big sticks" like this one would carry McGwire, but he was clearly the leader of a new generation of power hitters back in '88. Even though Big Mac slipped from his rookie-record 49 dingers the year before, he still banged out 32 as a sophomore when he swung this Rawlings Adirondack personal model Big Stick. Of course, it wasn't until he fully "filled out" that he really got serious. Bat has ball and rack marks on the barrel, pine tar from handle to midpoint, and a nasty 8" crack on the shaft. "25" is written on the knob and barrelhead in black marker. Great Big Mac Attacker.
