1988 Mark McGwire World Series Game Used Bat (34.5")
The hero of Game Three, Mark McGwire thrilled Oakland fans with a walk-off homer in the 1988 World Series to give the A's their only October win. Rawlings Big Stick 256B shows light but definite use, but a crack in the barrel (easily restored if desired) put an end to its short life. LOA is from the brother of A's second baseman Mike Gallego, who received the bat directly from Big Mac. Black sharpie signature is NRMT. Dead wood on back of barrel does nothing to detract from display value.
