1988 National League All Star Team Signed Baseball (PSA)
The 1988 MLB All-Star Game was played on July 12th at Riverfront Stadium in Pittsburgh before a sold out crowd of 55,837. In a true pitching duel, the American League outlasted the National League, 2-1, with A.L. starter Frank Viola of the Twins getting the win. Both runs for the Junior Circuit came via Terry Steinback’s bat (solo HR in the third inning, and a sacrifice fly in the fourth). This lot offers an ONL (Giamatti) team-signed baseball from 30 members of the N.L. squad. Notable signatures include Manager Whitey Herzog (sweet spot) along with Vince Coleman, Ozzie Smith, Gary Carter, Andy Van Slyke, Andres Galarraga, Bob Knepper, Chris Sabo, and Will Clark.
