1990-91 Kevin Stevens Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Trophy
Despite missing the playoffs for seven of eight years and losing superstar Mario Lemieux to injury for half the season, the 1990-91 Pittsburgh Penguins defied the odds and captured the first of their five Stanley Cups. This is a miniature version of the most famous championship trophy in all of sports and was awarded to Kevin Stevens. The silver cup, which measures 13", was awarded to the players on the team, all of whose names are etched on the base, along with the executives, coaches, trainers, etc. There is brown felt on the bottom with a Boffey sticker attached. There is slight toning to the silver color but overall is in EX-MT to NM condition. Six members of that Penguins team, as well as three off-ice officials, have been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and another - Jaromir Jagr - is a shoo-in when he eventually retires. The Penguins would go on to repeat as champions the following season.
