1990-91 Mario Lemieux Game Worn Gloves

1990-91 Mario Lemieux Game Worn Gloves

This pair of black-and-white KOHO 800 hockey gloves were worn by Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux during his storied 1990-91 campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Donned during a regular season in which Super Mario totaled 45 points in just 26 games, each of these gloves shows plenty of use, with parts of each glove - including the KOHO lettering - covered by black spray paint. Inside each glove is, "66" and "90-91 STANLEY CUP CONN SMYTHE" in clearly written in black Sharpie marker. Lemieux accrued 44 points over his 23 postseason games in '90-91 en route to being named the Conn Smythe Award winner as the MVP of the playoffs. Simply put, this is a superior pair of gloves worn by a superior player during a superior season.
