Fascinating group of seven photos from the noted visit of Dizzy Gillespie to Cuba. This visit led to the defection of this multi-Grammy-winning Cuban jazz trumpeter, founding member of the legendary jazz-fusion group Irakere and one of the most brilliant musicians of our time. Best image of all is an ironically cheery Gillespie, Sandoval and Castro together. Others are jam sessions with Sandoval and Gillespie made famous in the film "For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story" starring Andy Garcia (2000). Photos average 7x9" with perfect contrast and exceptional quality. The first images from this tryst we have seen.
