1990 Joe DiMaggio Signed Limited Edition “1941” Photograph

1990 Joe DiMaggio Signed Limited Edition “1941” Photograph

Has any ballplayer ever come closer to perfection than Joe DiMaggio in 1941? In that mythical season, Joltin' Joe hit in a record fifty-six consecutive games, won his second of three league MVP awards, and led the Bombers to the fifth of nine (in ten tries) World Series titles. What sometimes gets forgotten is that, the next game after the streak ended, Joe enjoyed another sixteen-game hit streak, making it 72/73 games that he hit safely in that season. This limited edition (410/1941) photograph, entitled “1941” depicts the raw power of DiMaggio's swing during that magical summer and is signed, large and bold, in Mint blue sharpie. Double-matted and framed 25.5x21.5”(19.5x15.5” visible in frame) with a notarized COA with an image of Joe at the 1990 signing affixed to the back. Here is the great DiMaggio at frozen for eternity at twenty-seven years of age and the peak of his powers. The summer of 1941 would also prove to be the last summer of innocence as America would soon be hurled into a World War.
