1990s Sergei Zubov CSKA Moscow Game Worn Jersey
Displayed is a beautiful 1990s Sergei Zubov game worn CSKA Moscow jersey. Zubov played in all or parts of five seasons for the Red Army team, otherwise known as CSKA Moscow. Always a skilled defenseman, he scored 17 goals and had 18 assists for CSKA Moscow in five years, but he really emerged as a superior offensive defenseman when he started to play in the NHL, beginning in the 1992-93 season for the New York Rangers. The right-handed shot scored eight goals and added 23 assists that season, but 1993-94, was Zubov's break-out year. He tallied 12 goals and 77 assists for 89 points as he helped the Rangers to win the Stanley Cup. Zubov also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Dallas Stars in the NHL, and he was a part of Dallas winning the Stanley Cup in 1999. In his NHL career, Zubov was selected for four All-Star teams. He was particularly adept on the power play. He played in 1,068 games and had 152 goals and 619 assists for 771 career points. The front of the red jersey shows a "Hammer and Sickle" emblem and below that "CSKA" in white letters with red trim. Each neck-to-shoulder area on the jersey top has a red star with white trim on a blue background. A manufacturer's tag in the neck reads "Maska", indicates that the jersey is 100% polyester, and gives washing instructions. The back shows Zubov's name, using the Russian alphabet. A tag on the rear outside tail shows "CCM" as the manufacturer. The jersey shows excellent use, with a few tiny holes in the jersey, stains and stick markings, and some loose threads. Despite the aforementioned imperfections, it is in excellent condition. It has a fight strap. Zubov's skill and the international aspects of a Red Army jersey make this a prized collectible.
