1991-92 Don Beaupre Washington Capitals Game Issued Jersey

1991-92 Don Beaupre Washington Capitals Game Issued Jersey

Displayed is a game issued Don Beaupre Washington Capitals' jersey. Beaupre, a left-handed catching goalie from Ontario, Canada, had a 17-year NHL career (1980-97). He began his NHL career with the Minnesota North Stars in 1980-81 and came to the Capitals part-way through the 1988-89 season. He also played for two seasons for both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators. Beaupre played 666 NHL games, with a record of 268-277-75, and he had 17 shutouts, a save percentage of .885 and a 3.46 GAA. In the year this jersey was game issued, Beaupre played in 54 games, with a 29-17-6 record, a .884 save percentage and a 3.20 GAA. We say the jersey is game issued because it is very hard to detect any use; it has been washed, and it may have been used in a game, but with no use visible, we call it game issued. There is a size 54 tag in the collar, and an NHL 75th Anniversary patch on the right front top. "Capitals" is written is sewn on blue block letters across the chest with the exception of a clever artistic use of red on the letter "T," which resembles a hockey stick. "Washington" is in sewn on red letters on the right chest. Six stars, in alternating red and blue, are sewn on the top chest. Each sleeve has a sewn on "33" in blue numerals with red trim. Below the number on each sleeve are five stars. The back has a white nameplate with "Beaupre" in sewn on blue letters with red trim. On the back of the jersey is "33" in sewn on blue numerals with red trim. On the lower outside tail is a "CCM" manufacturer's tag and an NHL tag. The jersey also has a fight strap.
