First, Wilson had already well established his Hall of Fame credentials in his first 14 NHL seasons, spent with the Chicago Blackhawks, before he was traded to San Jose before their first expansion season. Wilson was the first team captain in franchise history, and though he spent just two years on the ice in San Jose before retiring, he proceeded to serve 19 seasons as the team's general manager. Finally, with its magnificent teal base color, Sharks sweaters became instant top sellers across the National Hockey League. All original from the Sharks' inaugural year, teal road top has Maska Air Knit size 52 tagging in the collar, NHL 75th Anniversary patch on right chest, and Captain's C on the left. Sharks triangle logo crest spans the chest, shark fin round logo patch is on each sleeve above number 24 on both sleeves in white-on-black tackle twill. Same style number is on back below name in white-on-black on a plate. Moderate but definitive use is evident with some light pilling inside along with stick marks and a few burns.
